Job Description: Facilities Tech - Cannabis Farm and Manufacturing Facility
The Facilities Tech role at our cannabis farm and manufacturing facility is a crucial position responsible for maintaining and enhancing the overall functionality and appearance of our operations under the direction of our Facilities Manager. This individual will play a key role in conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations. The Facilities Tech will collaborate closely with the Facilities Manager to address maintenance priorities, support shipping and receiving, and contribute to the seamless operation of our dynamic and growing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and repairs of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Address and resolve basic plumbing, electrical, hvac, and carpentry issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
- Maintain outdoor areas, ensuring a clean and well-kept appearance.
- Operate landscaping equipment and perform routine tasks such as mowing, weeding, and pest control.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with safety standards and storage regulations. An organized warehouse will contribute to a smooth workflow and efficient material handling.
- Intake deliveries and ensure proper quality control, record keeping and storage of items
- Facilitate the smooth transfer of packaging materials between different departments as requested by leads and packaging managers. Ensuring timely and accurate material transfers will contribute to the efficient functioning of our production processes.
- Support waste management processes, including recycling and disposal of materials.
- Operate and maintain farm and manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Support compliance efforts related to industry regulations and standards.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks and address urgent maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, hvac, and carpentry repairs.
- Familiarity with the cannabis industry and its unique facility requirements is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy objects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 and able to pass a background check.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance or a related field are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
