What you bring to the table:
The IL Benefits Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive information, referrals, and assistance to individuals with disabilities seeking benefits support. This role aims to educate consumers and streamline the process of acquiring state and federal disability benefits. The IL Benefits Coordinator will conduct one-on-one meetings with consumers to assess their specific needs, offer guidance, and provide appropriate referrals. Additionally, this position will deliver in-depth counseling on benefits and their correlation with employment and other income. The IL Benefits Coordinator will also develop and deliver benefits education workshops to enhance access to state and federal disability programs for people with disabilities.

Specifically:
- Conduct screenings for benefits-related issues by meeting with individuals, in-person and/or virtually, to address consumer needs and provide information.
- Assist consumers with state and/or federal disability benefit applications and educate them about the benefits they receive.
- Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings for all group plans.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
- Assist in the review of plan documents and materials.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA, Billing Compliance, and safety policies and guidelines.
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Certified Work Incentives Counselor (CWIC) certification (or ability to obtain within the year)
- Experience and passion for working with people with disabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal disability programs.
- Ability to travel within Colorado Springs and surrounding counties to meet with individuals and groups and deliver information and training.
- Proficient in using computers and software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
