Description
We are looking for a results driven individual to work in our event retail stores and assist staff recruitment functions for all of our North American traveling event retail stores. The successful candidate will be willing to travel across North America to our event retail stores, enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales / profitability goals, and manage staff effectively. The ideal applicant will have a background in event management, employee recruitment, or retail management. Responsibilities will include supervising full time, contract, and temporary employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit and hire temp staff for designated event stores within the North American portfolio.
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of temporary retail staff as well as contracted merchandise store staff; submit paperwork, payroll documentation as necessary, and approval of contractor expenditures.
- Assist with the North American Merchandise team travel schedule, contractors, and temp staff.
- Full knowledge and accountability of your assigned event stores, including but not limited to: budgetary expectations, submission of invoices, tent/store locations in regard to venue flow, store hours, commercial use & sales tax, trailer pack down, heavy equipment rentals, and documentation of store execution for review by senior management.
- Drive store sales through execution of pre-determined visual merchandising strategy, maintaining a customer first mindset, and conveying superior product knowledge.
- Maintain a visually appealing store, ensuring proper housekeeping, product levels on sales floor, and organization are kept to the highest standard.
- Promote customer service by ensuring associates are greeting and assisting customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Execute store setup, including building of retail fixtures and placement of product to meet standards.
- Operate POS system and liaison with retail planning team, or technical support as needed.
- Cash handling, deposits, and end of day reconciliation. Liaison with finance team.
- Achieve shrink goals, by checking in product, cycle counting, and executing loss prevention strategy.
- Create detailed debriefs on event stores for post event recap meetings.
- Various duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness to travel. Extensive travel including weekends and extended hours as required.
- Business, Marketing, or Merchandise Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years retail experience.
- Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, hang/fold merchandise, and lift/carry up to 30lbs.
