As Reservations Manager at Fairmont Orchid, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Reservations team, ensuring exceptional service standards, optimal room inventory control, and alignment with the hotel’s revenue and distribution strategy. You will act as a key liaison between Reservations, Sales, Revenue Management, and Front Office to drive performance and guest satisfaction in a luxury resort setting.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee daily operations of the Reservations team (leisure, group and rooms control) providing coaching, scheduling, and support to ensure consistent service delivery in line with LQA and Corporate standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and individual check-ins to promote development and consistency.
- Monitor and address guest and group feedback related to the reservations process.
- Ensure all reservations are processed accurately and in a timely manner, with attention to special requests, preferences, and VIP handling.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners including group organizers, Sales, and Conference Services.
- Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Marketing, PR, and Operations to develop packages, rates, and processes while managing guestroom inventory and resolving capacity challenges.
- Maximize room revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing agreed-upon Revenue Management strategies and practices.
- Assist the Director of Revenue in generating and distributing key performance and operational reports
**Your experience and skills include:**
- Service focused personality
- Ability to manage and coach a high performing team in a dynamic environment
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
- Knowledge of Central Reservations System (CRS), Passkey and IDEAS is preferred
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
- Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
- Salary Range:** $75K - $85K USD
- Visa Requirements:** Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
