TITLE
Security Officer
LOCATION
Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)
REPORTS TO
Security Shift Leader
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Officer is directly responsible for the safety and security of all employees and guests while on property. Officers will cover designated work posts, monitor alarms, and provide great customer service in accordance with our Corporate Security Vision & Mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Enforces JMS policies and procedures
Coordinates emergency response with EMS/LE and responds to emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established policies.
Provides First Aid/CPR
Conduct patrols
Monitors alarms and video surveillance systems
Writes incident reports
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Experience in Security, EMS, Military, Law Enforcement, or related field required
Other
Must have a clean driving record
Must be able to obtain a CHL (Concealed Handgun License)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Good writing skills
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to use a PC and Windows programs (Word, Excel)
Ability to use access control/alarm monitoring and video surveillance applications
Must be willing to work shifts and flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
