Our group develops and applies novel high-throughput genetic techniques (e.g. MPRA and CRISPR based screens) to comprehensively characterize non-coding regions of the genome, in both mouse and human, to interpret the regulatory grammar of gene expression. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with either an experimental or computational background to join our efforts in functional genomics. Opportunities are available to assist with ongoing projects including our participation as a characterization center for the NIH’s ENCODE Project (Encyclopedia Of DNA Elements) which aims to functionally characterize regulatory elements at scale in a biological setting. Applicants interested in applying our experimental approaches and/or datasets to their disease of interest are also encouraged to apply. The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) is recognized internationally for its excellence in research, unparalleled mouse resources, outstanding training environment characterized by scientific collaboration, and exceptional core services - all within a spectacular setting adjacent to Acadia National Park.
