Since 1980 The King’s Masons have been working with homeowners and commercial customers to create outstanding exterior landscapes that people will enjoy for years to come. For more than 44 years, we've worked with over 8000 property owners on projects small and large all around the Northern Virginia and the greater Washington DC area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage ~100 landscape construction projects per year ranging from simple front walkways to complete exterior landscapes.
- Daily communication with all active clients.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with designers and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
- Review and interpret schematics and architectural designs to guide construction activities
- Coordinate and manage suppliers
- Help subcontractors complete projects with increasing efficiency
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to team and owners
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, landscape architecture, or a related field preferred
- Proven 4 years experience as a construction project manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and architectural designs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in the landscape construction industry
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft 365
- Drafting/sketching a plus
- Buildertrend or similar PM software
Mentality/Character:
