Assistant Teacher
We are currently seeking an assistant teacher to join our team at The Lamp Post Sensory School. Our small class of up to 5 neurodiverse students is focused on developing social and emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and preparing for success in adulthood.
As an assistant teacher, you will work alongside our experienced educators to support the classroom learning environment and help students reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- assisting teachers with lesson planning
- preparing materials for activities
- guiding student behavior
- providing individualized attention to students
- assisting with classroom organization
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma and previous experience working in an educational setting. A background in early childhood education is preferred.
