What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sensory school teacher position at The Lamp Post Therapy Center?
Lamp Post Therapy Center's Sensory School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated
teacher to join our team. Our small class of up to 5 neurodiverse students is focused on
developing social and emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and preparing for success
in adulthood.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs
- Provide a structured and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with an assistant teacher and occupational and speech therapists to
support student development
- Attend and participate in training sessions over the summer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Experience working with neurodiverse students preferred
- Certification in special education or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of each student
