Attorney

Our law firm is seeking to hire a second associate attorney who is interested in assisting clients in a wide variety of legal areas. We have an excellent team already and are looking to expand with the right person. The candidate will primarily practice in family law but will have the opportunity to assist with all legal matters handled by the firm, including but not limited to civil litigation, criminal defense, construction law, personal injury, business formation, contracts, wills and trusts, estate planning, probate estate administration, and other areas. Some employer/employee training is expected, but jobseekers should be driven, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation, even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Jobseekers must be strong legal researchers, writers, and advocates. Jobseekers must be willing to represent clients in court. Jobseekers must be detail oriented.

Qualifications:

• Ability to represent both plaintiffs and defendants, petitioners and respondents
• 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
• Must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the KBA (Kentucky Bar Association)

Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience, but it will be competitive with the market
