What You'll Do
As an Independent Living Coach, you'll be a mentor, advocate, and coach. Your impact will go far beyond a job description-you're helping shape lives.
- Build trusting, person-centered relationships with participants and families.
- Support individuals in achieving their Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) through activities that build social, vocational, and communication skills.
- Implement skill-building strategies in daily living, self-advocacy, academics, motor development, and more.
- Assist with mobility training and personal care, when needed.
- Provide community-based support and drive participants using League vehicles.
- Track progress, behaviors, and engagement using our digital systems (iCare).
- Be a role model of The League's Core Values: Accountability, Participant Focus, Quality, Independence, and Mutual Respect.
- A heart for service and a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree in a related field preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental/behavioral disabilities.
- A valid driver's license, 2 years of driving experience, and a clean record (no more than 3 points).
- Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, data entry).
Salary : $18
