Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Homeschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The Teacher will be responsible for implementing educational activities and fostering social skills among students 1st-4th.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy education and overall child development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's behavior positively.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons to meet individual learning requirements.
- Incorporate learning technology into daily activities to enhance educational experiences.
- Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive approach to child development.
- Provide tutoring support as needed to reinforce learning objectives.
Skills Required:
- English speaker
- Alignment with Christian values and ability to integrate biblical truths into the school day
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom, homeschool, or micro-school setting
Preferred:
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with homeschool, hybrid, or micro-school learning models
- Florida teaching certification (not required but a plus)
- Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
