About Us
Lola’s Place is a vibrant, community-focused bar, restaurant, and café in Durango, Colorado, known for our warm hospitality, creative drinks, fresh Mexican-inspired food, and inviting atmosphere. We’re seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our Barista and Bartending team, oversee daily site operations, and continue Lola’s Place’s reputation as a welcoming, well-run destination for guests.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Management
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and lead onboarding, training, managing, scheduling, and retaining Barista and Bartending staff.
- Lead regular team meetings, conduct performance reviews, and guide staff through disciplinary conversations when needed.
- Assist in managing offboarding and terminations for Barista and Bartending staff, and part-time Site Coordinator(s).
- Work behind the bar during scheduled shifts and cover unfilled shifts.
- Maintain and model proper cleaning standards (for example, dirty and clean rag exchange for bartenders, ice burning and container sanitizing, coffee and bar area cleaning and sanitation, etc.)
Operations & Site Management
- Ensure Lola’s Place is consistently clean, organized, and visually up to standard—either by completing tasks directly or delegating effectively to the FOH Lead or PT Site Coordinator.
- Oversee proper opening and closing of the site, personally or by scheduling/coordination with the FOH Lead or PT Site Coordinator.
- Develop a strong understanding of the building and grounds to support smooth operations and problem-solving.
- Receive, verify, stock, and organize inventory deliveries.
- Manage daily operational needs to keep Lola’s Place running smoothly and safely.
Guest Experience & Team Culture
- Maintain a warm, positive, and guest-focused atmosphere at all times—ensuring every visitor feels welcome, well cared for, and eager to return.
- Support and maintain a casual but professional work environment that fosters respect, collaboration, and good morale among staff.
- Lead by example in creating a positive, solutions-oriented culture where both guests and employees feel valued.

Schedule & Location
- Full-time position with a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
- Location: On-site at Lola’s Place in historic downtown Durango, CO.
- Relocation: Candidates must either reside in Durango or be willing to relocate before starting.
