About the Job:
The Embroidery Specialist is responsible for following embellishment specifications and work orders to ensure the accurate and timely placement of appliqués and embroidery. This role utilizes production machinery such as heat presses and industrial embroidery machines to embellish fabric either prior to or after garment construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery and select appropriate project materials.
- Cut out appliqués and apply to correct garment components.
- Follow prototypes and spec sheets to ensure correct embellishment placement.
- Alter machine settings as needed to suit various fabric types.
- Discuss daily work plans and timelines with supervisor or lead.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with kit creation or finishing tasks as needed.
- Create prototypes and samples of materials when required.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure clear communication around timelines and issues.
- Follow all safety protocols, including stopping work when unsure about any risk.
- Support other production areas as needed depending on workload.
About You:
- Able to follow instructions and manage changes effectively.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
- Organized and focused, even in fast-paced environments.
- Able to read and interpret work orders, illustrations, and replicate prototypes and samples.
- Comfortable using a tape measure for precise garment measurement and seam allowance application.
Education and Experience:
- Previous apparel or production knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have steady hands and good eyesight (with or without corrective lenses).
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Able to stand for long periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Additional Considerations:
- Wage: Starting at $16.00 per hour
- Full-Time Seasonal role, anticipated seasonal end, February 2026, with potential to be hired on Full-time
- Regular schedule Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- To ensure customer needs are met, this position requires flexibility and may occasionally involve working more than 45 hours per week to accommodate business demands and other responsibilities.
- Location: Onsite - Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- Classification: Non-exempt.
- Reports to: Surface Design Supervisor.
