LiRo Architects Planners, P.C., based in lower Manhattan, is an award-winning design firm seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager to participate in the design, documentation and construction administration of a variety of projects. Our projects range from the rehabilitation and expansion of existing buildings to new building design.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing, scheduling, and monitoring the progress of the Design Project Initiation.  Ensure the project team engages regularly with the Technical Director to cover expertise on the project
  • Full responsibility for managing the project's delivery, profitability and the successful client relationship of the most complex projects
  • Collaborate with the other project leaders to develop the design intent and development of the concept for the project
  • Facilitate and ensure all required LiRo work-flow tools and standards are implemented
  • Schedule and conduct Project Leadership Meetings and keep the Business Unit Head and Deputy Business Unit Head apprised of the critical issues on the project.  Work closely with the other project leaders to develop clear and action-oriented agendas for the meeting
  • Review the Work Plan regularly with the other Project Leaders and the project team
  • Responsible for recognizing performance issues or skill gaps of team members and working with them to improve
  • Responsible for implementing firm wide initiatives on the project and working with the business unit heads to adapt those initiatives to the specifics of the project when necessary. Ensures that projects are delivered in accordance with the procedures outlined in the firm’s Project Delivery Handbook
  • Work with Project Architect to fill out the BIM Execution Plan, providing specific information about deliverables and BIM Uses
  • Serve as the liaison between Architect and Client.  Maintain day-to-day communication with client team, including any consultants hired direclty by the client.
  • Understand and ensure that the Client's objectives and expectations for the project are realized
  • Maintain relationships with sub-contractors

Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited college is required
  • RA License preferred 
  • 10 years related industry experience
  • Strong conceptual, communication, planning and organization skills and capability of working well as a leader in a team environment in a variety of projects and tasks
  • Familiarity with BIM
  • Experience with NYC Codes and Regulations

- Compensation:  Minimum: $150,000;  Maximum: $175,000
