WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Direct, maintain, and improve day-to-day operation of a dedicated claim unit insuring efficient claim processing and maintenance of division standards adherence to policy and procedure, and Client Service Level Agreement (SLA) as a dedicated role for a specific client. Meet all other specific client expectations for claims handling. Manage claims inventory to assure that corporate goals for accuracy and turnaround time are met as well as individual state and Client SLA are met for a specific client.
- Direct day-to-day operations of dedicated claims unit.
- Provide work direction and distribute daily work assignments to staff.
- Complete employee performance appraisals.
- Maintain backlog workflow and division standards for production and service levels.
- Generate and distribute monthly production and accuracy reports to adjusters.
- Directly respond to Client requests and escalated issues.
- Distribute daily/monthly reports to client.
- Assist with claims processing when required.
- Review existing procedures and develop plans for improvement.
- Evaluate and report quality control issues and conduct desk audits.
- Review technical claim referrals and claim appeals.
- Manage PTO requests for appropriate staffing at all times.
- Evaluate unit staff and training/re-training requirements.
- Evaluate, update and maintain the training materials and claim resource materials.
- Assist with training new hires.
- Develop and implement plans to foster and improve attitude of teamwork and positive working environment.
- Report to management status of unit staffing requirements and plans for maintenance and improvement.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
WHERE YOU'LL BE LOCATED:
In a secure, quiet location with high speed, reliable internet either remotely or in our Wyomissing Office. This position is on a flexible hybrid work schedule.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TEAM:
- Medical insurance background required.
- Must have knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply provisions of the program guides, medical terminology and insurance claims.
- Leadership abilities to manage a team of claim adjusters.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving aptitude, ability to develop and adapt to changing guidelines and strong organizational and motivational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and claims operating system.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus three years’ experience as a senior claims adjuster and previous supervisory experience required.
