Position: Part-Time Learning Specialist
Location: In-person, Homestead

About the Role
The Lucy Project is seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to support children with unique learning needs. As part of our team, you'll receive specialized training in the IMSE Orton-Gillingham method to enhance literacy skills, equipping students for lifelong success. Upon completing the training, you’ll earn the IMSE Comprehensive Certificate and take on an active role in changing young lives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literacy assessments using IMSE OG & ACADIENCE tools.
  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans for effective literacy instruction.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group sessions focused on reading, writing, and spelling.
  • Maintain regular progress reports to share with parents and team members.
  • Support other team-related tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Active Florida Professional or Temporary Teacher Certification.
  • Minimum one-year commitment.
