What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Captain position at The Madison Concourse Hotel?
We're looking for a Full Time Banquet Captain to join our Banquets team! The Banquet Captain supervises and coordinates the activities of banquet waitstaff to ensure that our delicious food and beverages are served promptly to delight our guests and exceed expectations. This is a great position to use and grow your supervisory skills in a beautiful environment!
Some of the things you are responsible for:
- Making sure all set-ups are done according to contract, make sure they are running on time and that clean-up is proper and complete
- Helping train new waitstaff on the proper banquet waitstaff procedures
- Reading Banquet Event Order contracts and being aware of special items, such as specific dietary needs or allergies
- Supervising and directing waitstaff for each function during busy and slow times of meal service
- Attentively serving meals and beverages to guests with courtesy and knowledge of the meal
- Ensuring the banquet is running smoothly: glasses are filled, food is served, and tables are cleared in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned
