Our busy legal firm is looking for an organized legal assistant to help our office operate efficiently. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and remind the team of upcoming deadlines. Compensation:$20 to $23 hourly rate
Responsibilities:- Using CRM software, open new client records, enter case details, select templates for processing correspondence and set tasking for follow up,
- Calendar meetings for attorneys and upcoming court proceeding dates.
- Work within the firm's established policies and procedures for processing clients communications, court paperwork and internal and external documents.
- Communicate on the phone with courts, agencies, vendors, current clients and potential clients.
- Draft and prepare Motions for the Attorneys and track the status through to updating the clients.
- Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly, including but not limited to monitoring inboxes, scanning, photocopying and filing.
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience working in a law firm or professional office environment performing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, and use of CRM software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times
- Experience working on a team
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
- Good task management and communication skills
- Proficient typing, Mac computer OS, Apple Mail
- Associates Degree is preferred, but will accept comparable office work experience. Legal office a plus.
