The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to support a San Diego-area Department of Defense (DoD) client. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct support to General Schedule Level 15 (GS-15) Echelon II Command Headquarters Director, Digital Innovation & Data.
  • Drive Integrated Product Team (IPT) efforts in accordance with (IAW) Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Effectively manage resourcing IAW POA&M baseline and actively report status of major project tasking and milestones on a recurring basis.
  • Identify, assess and offer risk mitigation recommendations for adjudication to effectively identified leadership concerns.
  • Develop briefs.
  • Coordinate and manage meetings (e.g. to include recurring weekly team meetings, monthly extended team meetings, command all hands town hall events, etc.)
  • Track metrics on implementation and communicating with organizations.
  • Update policies, briefs and documents including best practices.
  • Maintain document repositories.
  • Function as configuration board member.
  • Prioritize requirements for developer (NAVSEA).
  • Develops standard communications for leadership and program/ competency teams.
  • Works closely with Deployment Planning and Training/User Support teams.
  • Access management process oversight.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a related information technology (IT) job, including responsibilities to: plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities in an organization; build and manage software development and maintenance teams; and implement computer systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Experience using project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in applying analytical skills to support process improvement, studies, and analysis projects.
  • Must have an active US Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with Acquisition Management System (AMS)
