Dietary Aide
Starting Rate: $15.50 (paying $15.50 – $17.69 per hour, depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Dietary Aides support the health and nutrition of residents by assisting with food preparation services while upholding strict sanitation and safe handling procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that each resident’s meal, snack, and beverage are by the individual’s medical nutrition plans
- Responsible for several aspects of the kitchen work, including preparing and serving meals, dishwashing, stocking unit kitchenettes, working tray line, and setting tables for serving
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Previous dietary experience preferred
- High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required
- Health status suitable for food service required
- Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
- Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
- Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
- Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy, and ability to work well with fellow staff members
- Physical endurance for frequent activity
