Position Summary:
The RN Supervisor oversees nursing operations on assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. You will lead and mentor a team of nursing staff, monitor resident care plans, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role is ideal for a confident and caring RN who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Monitor and evaluate residents' care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess resident care, address concerns, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility policies and regulations.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to nursing staff.
- Address and resolve staff or resident concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and transitions of care to maintain continuity and quality of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in NYS.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a skilled nursing, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care to residents.
