In this role, you would be part of a dynamic maintenance team helping to drive the achievement of company goals and will report directly to the Manager of Maintenance. The overall scope of this role will includes the upkeep of production machinery and facilities and will focus on the electrical side of plant maintenance operations and production support functions.
What you will be doing
- Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals and understand functionality of the various electrical components.
- Has a working knowledge of the principles of relay logic and control circuits and can troubleshoot and maintain components.
- Understands the workings of and can effectively trouble shoot and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Can successfully use testing equipment to diagnose issues with electrical components.
- Understands the workings of and can effectively trouble shoot AC/DC motor controls.
- Mechanical aptitude/ability to understand, diagnose and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Assist in wiring all new/used equipment and building wiring.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all electrical components in plant.
What You Will Need
- To be successful in this role, you must have strong practical, hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing machinery.
- Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting. Electrical skills trouble shooting PLCs are preferred.
- Desired education is a high school diploma. Any additional education would be a plus.
