Description
Coalition Homes, affiliated with Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide a range of services on 175 rental apartments throughout Montgomery County. This is a full time 40 hours a week position (Monday through Friday), but some overtime and on-call will occur based on emergency repair needs.
Requirements
· 5 years experience in construction or building maintenance labor
· Knowledge of light residential maintenance procedures involving plumbing, electrical, drywall / painting, HVAC and lock repair
· Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
· Ability to work independently, following written or verbal instructions
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Enthusiasm for learning new skills and developing improved methods for best use of time and other resources
· Ability to adhere to strict safety policies and code of conduct with tenants, some of whom may exhibit irregular behavior at times
· Ability to budget, track, and record all repair expenses
· Ability to communicate professionally with all internal/external partners along with clients
· Ability to document repairs progress
· Must submit to criminal background check/reference check

Requirements
Optional Qualifications:
· Experience with Yardi or other property management software
· Conversational Spanish or French
· Advanced skills in one of the trades (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry / drywall / painting, or appliance repair)
· Knowledge of property management industry best practices and the Montgomery County / AOBA recommended residential lease
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
