About The Moore:

The Moore is a landmark destination in the Miami Design District, comprised of a private members club, hotel and a collection of restaurants, retail, exhibition, event and office space. Housed in the District’s circa-1922 Moore building, the reimagined, nearly 90,000-square-foot space integrates two, four-story structures located at the intersection of NE 40th Street and NE 2nd Avenue, and includes Elastika, the site-specific commission created by the late artist and architect Zaha Hadid for the inaugural Design Miami/ exhibition in 2005. 

The redevelopment of The Moore is led by boutique hospitality firm and operator, WoodHouse. Founded by entrepreneur Brady Wood, WoodHouse creates, owns and operates experiential concepts, ranging from private clubs, restaurants and hotels to live music and entertainment venues. 

Position Overview:

At Elastika, a Server plays a vital role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our valued guests. As a Server, you will represent our restaurant and uphold our commitment to delivering outstanding service and creating memorable moments. Your warm and friendly demeanor, along with you attention to detail, will contribute to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for every guest who walks through outdoor. 

A successful Server at Elastika will greet guests with a welcoming smile, take accurate food and beverage orders, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and deliver orders promptly and accurately. Your ability to anticipate guests needs, address any concerns, and maintain a professional and friendly demeanor will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.  

Responsibilities:  

• Warmly greet guests, seat them at their tables, and provide them with menus.  

• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.  

• Offer knowledgeable recommendations and answer any questions regarding menu and items and ingredients. 

• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.  

• Anticipate guest needs and promptly address any concerns or special requests.  

• Clear tables, refill drinks, and ensure tables are properly set for the next guests.  

• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery of orders.  

• Assist with basic cleaning duties, such as wiping down tables and maintaining cleanliness in your sections.  

• Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.  

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.  

• Willingness to come early to shift to attend all Pre-shifts.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a Server in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. 

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.  

• Strong knowledge of men items, including ingredients and preparation methods.  

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.  

• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.  

• Positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.  

• Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the restaurant’s needs.  

• Minimum age of 18. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Mastery in carrying, balancing, and presenting trays with grace and poise. 

• Ability to stand and move gracefully for extended periods, ensuring a seamless service. 

• Agility in navigating the dining areas with poise and attentiveness. 

• Strength to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. 

• Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing as required, maintaining the club’s impeccable standards for opening and closing sitework.
