Maintenance General Foreman
Job Summary:
The Maintenance General Foreman oversees maintenance operations, ensuring efficient and safe execution of tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Provide technical guidance, supervise staff, and maintain equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise employees, including, Electricians, Maintenance personnel, crane and rigging , pipe fitters and Welders.
- Assign work based on priority and schedule, optimizing cost-effectiveness.
- Audit work methods and provide guidance and training.
- Review backlog reports, downtime reports, and budget reports for performance improvement.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operating standards.
- Prepare reports and maintain records.
- Identify areas of concern, such as worn belts, misalignment, or motor issues.
- Plan the replacement and upgrade process, considering downtime, budget, and safety.
- Schedule maintenance downtime to minimize production disruption.
- Supervise the removal of old conveyor belts, rollers, and motors.
- Oversee the installation of new belts, ensuring proper alignment and tension.
- Test the system thoroughly to verify smooth operation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or higher authority.
Qualifications:
Education: 10 years industrial maintenance experience or Relevant degrees (Bachelor’s or Associate) in Industrial Mechanical Engineering
Skills: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic operations, instrumentation, machinery repair, safety protocols.
Experience: Supervision, workmanship inspection, and administrative duties.
Safety and Training:
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during the entire project.
Train maintenance staff on the new system’s operation and maintenance procedures.
Conduct safety briefings and hazard assessments.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of the project, including work orders, equipment specifications, and maintenance logs.
Report progress to higher management and address any unforeseen challenges
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety, team safety, and environmental awareness at all times. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. Qualified candidates will be able to pass a criminal background check, substance abuse test, and other specific tests required.
