A family in Montclair, NJ is seeking an engaging after-school nanny for their two daughters, ages 5 and 10 years old. The position is Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Additional flexibility is appreciated on days when the children do not have school.
Duties include:
Picking up the children from school daily and providing transportation to after-school activities. Shopping for dinner ingredients and cooking exclusively for the children. Assisting with homework, particularly for the 10-year-old. Managing bath time and bedtime routines. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all areas frequented by the children, including the downstairs kitchen, playroom, girls' bathrooms, and their bedrooms. Doing the children’s laundry. Handling light household tasks related to the children, such as vacuuming and scheduling appointments.

The ideal nanny for this home is an honest and trustworthy individual with a strong sense of pride in their work and demonstrated personal initiative. An expert problem solver who enjoys engaging and challenging children to think critically and develop problem-solving skills.
