The Talent Acquisition Partner shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success for the headquarters locations and business ministries within the organization ensuring hiring the best possible talent on behalf of The Navigators. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, utilizing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Talent Acquisition Partner also leads and stewards the onboarding process for new employees.
Responsibilities
Recruiting
· Administer the full cycle hiring process from sourcing, to offer acceptance for all positions at U.S. Headquarters, Glen Eyrie Conference Center, Eagle Lake Camps, and the International Office.
· Effectively work with hiring management of all levels in the organization to identify anticipated staffing gaps and proactively prepare to fill them.
· Build solid relationships with leadership teams cross-departmentally and cross-missionally and serve as a partner before, during, and after the recruiting process.
· Proactively network and “deep dive” into passive candidate networks throughout various markets.
· Develop, implement, and execute recruiting strategies that align with The Navigator’s National Strategy to fill current openings and help build a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates.
· Set and meet strong and specific recruitment metrics.
· Analyze, recommend, and implement improvements as needed in the overall recruitment and hiring strategy and process.
· Conduct interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools and methods to filter and screen candidates.
· Communicate regularly with and respond daily to candidates about the status of positions.
· Power user in the organizational applicant tracking system, iCIMS, working in partnership with the Personnel Systems Administrator to maintain and improve upon the system as needed.
· Coordinate, schedule and conduct onboarding for all recruited new hires.
· Work in partnership with the hiring manager to create welcome article for each new hire for
inclusion in organizational communication, NavWeekly.
· Report recruiting and onboarding statistics to supervisor.
· Work in partnership with the Personnel Systems Administrator to ensure the onboarding business process is efficient and in compliance with employment and labor laws.
· Subject matter expert in the HQ Hiring Policy and HQ Compensation Policy to ensure organizational policies and procedures are followed.
· Work in partnership with the Personnel Data Specialist to ensure job descriptions and assigned pay grades are accurate for the job posting and recruiting process.
Additional Responsibilities
· Presenting onboarding presentation and introducing new hires to The Navigators mission, core values, history, structure, and opportunities for training
· Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; discuss recruiting processes with managers; help train managers on recruiting software as needed.
· Assist with New Staff Orientation in partnership with the HR Training Coordinator as needed.
· Continue growing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
· Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
· Submit expense report as needed due the 15th of each month.
· Participate in development events such as Navigator on-site events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
· Read spiritually and culturally developmental books and literature
Qualifications
· Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
· Associate Degree or relevant work experience.
· Five years of experience in full cycle recruiting preferred.
· Experience working with an applicant tracking system (preferably iCIMS Recruiting).
· Workday software and web communications experience helpful.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requisitions, hiring managers and candidates.
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
· Detail oriented.
· Job description development and editing experience.
· Ability to build loyalty and relationships with managers of all levels.
· Strong interviewing and negotiation skills.
· General understanding of compensation structures a plus.
· Prior understanding of The Navigators a plus.
Compensation Range: $22.31hr - $26.00/hr
