What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Teacher / Assistant at small preschool / daycare position at The Nook Park Slope?
We are a small Reggio Emilia Preschool, and looking for an individual to serve as lead teacher primarily during extended hours (3-6pm), although there is opportunity for growth and expansion for the right person.
This role involves close supervision of children ages 2-3, going outdoors, planning engaging and creative activities, supervising snack and toileting/diapering, and communicating with parents and families.
The ideal candidate is patient, warm and responsible.
Candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field plus two years experience in a preschool setting. Experience with 2's and 3's preferred.
- Have, or be willing to immediately obtain, Infant CPR and First Aid Certification.
