Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays a vital role in setting the tone for their dining experience. This individual will be responsible for managing the flow of guests, ensuring a seamless service, and providing exceptional hospitality.
Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival and ensure a Warm Welcome, seating them promptly and efficiently.
- Manage the host stand, answering phone calls, and taking reservations.
- Utilize our POS system to manage table assignments, take orders, and communicate with the kitchen staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with guest services, such as answering questions about the menu or making recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude at all times.
Skills:
- Experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a host/host role.
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills.
- Proficiency with our POS system.
- Strong hospitality skills, with a focus on providing exceptional guest relations.
- Ability to help guests with their dining needs and answer questions about the menu.
- Knowledge of guest services and the ability to provide assistance as needed.
- A customer service background, with a focus on providing a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
