Hotel Maintenance Technician

Ocean Front Seaside is seeking a friendly, customer-service oriented MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team. This position is responsible for general property upkeep, assuring that rooms are ready to be occupied safely by guests and that they will enjoy a memorable, trouble-free experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance in hotel rooms, public areas and facilities — including furniture, appliances, light fixtures, plumbing, painting.
• Respond to urgent repair requests from guests, housekeeping team or property management.
• Keep exterior spaces, common areas and guest rooms cleaned and maintained.
• Maintain outdoor lighting and landscaping.
• Regularly inspect property to ensure it meets health, safety and guest-service standards.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Follow all safety, health and sanitation policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Be punctual, attentive to detail, friendly, willing to learn, reliable and honest.
• Have a basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, heating systems; knowledge of general maintenance processes; and working knowledge of tools, appliances and devices.
• Have the physical condition and strength necessary to perform maintenance activities that may include climbing, lifting or crawling in tight spaces.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Be able to work in a team setting.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Anticipate challenges and help find solutions.

Job Information:

• Hourly wage: $17-$20, depending on experience.
• Part-time or full-time shifts may be available.
• Past experience in the hospitality industry preferable, but not mandatory.

Owned by the same family for five generations, Ocean Front Seaside is a boutique property with 35 rooms that evoke the spirit and charm of yesteryear while providing today’s essential amenities and services. The property has just completed an extensive remodel.
