Mobile Phlebotomist

Position Overview
In this mobile role, you'll perform vital blood collection procedures from patients at our healthcare facilities—including nursing homes and clinics. You’ll be at the heart of specimen integrity and patient trust, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely collection and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures with precision and care
- Identify patients accurately following strict identification protocols
- AM facility clearance, including: UTO’s, same day refusals, ammonias etc.
- Be responsive and punctual with mobile device communication for assignment updates
- Label specimens properly and document requisitions for lab processing
- Package and transport samples securely while maintaining compliance with PHI regulations
- Deliver compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort throughout collection
- Coordinate with lab and operations teams to streamline workflow
- Keep neat and accurate logs, time sheets, mileage sheet, and other required records
Requirements
- Current California CPT Certification required
- Must be comfortable driving to different locations in your personal vehicle!
- Proven skill in venipuncture, specimen handling, and patient preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care
- Comfortable with minimal supervision and strong time management
- Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and up-to-date insurance
- Clean driving record and vehicle suitable for daily travel
- Fluent written and verbal English proficiency
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
Preferred Traits
- Previous mobile phlebotomy or clinical experience.
- Previous experience with nursing facilities and geriatric patients.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and patient refusal policies
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and prioritize patient needs
- Professional demeanor and collaborative spirit
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $25.00, based on experience and qualifications.
