JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Research Laboratory of Dr. Ling Lin in the Department of Medicine, Hershey, PA, is seeking a highly motivated Research Technologist (level 1). The candidate for this position should have hands-on experience and skills in cellular and molecular biology. Preferred skills include cell culture, flow cytometry, PCR assay, immune staining, histology analysis, Western blot. The candidate will be responsible for 1) Conducting the related experiments following the protocols and collecting the data. 2) Maintaining the genetically modified mouse strains and models. 3) Coordinating ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory, storage, lab supplies and instruments essential to the operation of the lab.
This position typically requiresaBachelor'sdegree or higherplus1 yearofrelated experienceoran equivalent combination of education and experience.
This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, withpossibility of refunding.
