Overview
The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently hiring a Freight Dispatcher to join our logistics team at the corporate headquarters in Bells, TN. The Freight Dispatcher will support Pictsweet's sales efforts by coordinating efficient and economical distribution of frozen products, dry goods, and materials throughout the country, as well as solving customer service problems that relate to transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide transportation to service the customer or Pictsweet on a timely and efficient basis.
- Notify Customer Service or Warehouse Replenishment of shipping delays or problems on a timely basis.
- Manage driver relations to include receiving all calls (check calls, loading calls, empty calls, other). Report driver problems to management.
- Assist auditing and posting freight invoices to automated freight system and approve freight invoices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Traffic/trucking experience needed.
- Proficiency with PC applications and softwares including Excel, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Ability to perform duties under fast paced conditions with daily deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
