POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The licensed Physical Therapist is responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall health of patients in order to return patients to work without restrictions.
Hours of Operation: Monday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (30 min break), Tuesday to Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm (30 min break), and Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult and evaluate patients regarding their physical condition and symptoms.
- Physically examine patients and diagnoses by reviewing medical history, diagnostics, and physician reports.
- Provide detailed daily notes, and evaluation reports on patients. Assessment must be completed timely, be well-written, and provide an astute treatment plan.
- Assist and supervise the patient’s physical therapy through therapeutic exercises, activities, massage, aquatics, etc.
- Consult and educate patients on how to effectively use therapeutic exercise techniques and advise patients on how they can improve their health through supervised treatment plans and at-home exercises.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop physical therapy and aquatic treatment plans.
- Review patient records prior to evaluations, FCE, etc. and note time spent.
- Create wellness plans for patients based on the patient’s job functions and goal to return to work without restrictions.
- Weekly meetings and team huddles.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
- Maintain an active license in the State of Texas.
- Annual planning to maintain CE’s (management approval required by set yearly quarter).
- A minimum of 1 year of prior experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a private office facility setting. This role requires direct patient engagement while working with up to three patients during a 90 to 100-minute block.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical stamina in order to lift patients and spend long hours standing and modeling exercises.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. The onsite work hours are based on the clinic hours for the assigned shift.
TRAVEL
This position may travel up 20%.
