This role is essential in supporting attorneys by managing case files, conducting research, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys by preparing legal documents and correspondence.
- Face to Face with prospects and clients
- Assist in the litigation process by organizing case files and managing deadlines.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases.
- Perform legal research to support ongoing cases and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Maintain accurate data entry of case information into legal management systems.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys.
- Ensure adherence to office procedures and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role within a law office setting.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze legal documents effectively.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in legal drafting with a solid understanding of legal terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
