The Operations Clerk – Shipping supports daily shipping operations by handling documentation, tag and label printing, system transactions, and shipment coordination. This role plays a critical part in ensuring outbound orders are accurate, complete, and processed efficiently while serving as a key clerical link between Sales, Shipping, and Operations.
The Operations Clerk reports to the Tactical Planning Manager and works closely with the Operations team to support timely, accurate fulfillment.

The Operations Clerk – Shipping supports daily shipping operations by handling documentation, tag and label printing, system transactions, and shipment coordination. This role plays a critical part in ensuring outbound orders are accurate, complete, and processed efficiently while serving as a key clerical link between Sales, Shipping, and Operations.
The Operations Clerk reports to the Tactical Planning Manager and works closely with the Operations team to support timely, accurate fulfillment.
Requirements
Shipping & Order Processing
- Print, sort, and distribute product tags and labels based on sales orders and shipping schedules
- Generate daily pull and pack documentation as directed by Sales and Shipping
- Prepare and manage all outbound shipping paperwork, including packing slips, bills of lading, and required regulatory documents
- Verify items loaded for shipment and ensure shipping carts are accurately scanned out of inventory
- Confirm sales orders are properly shipped and closed in the system and that billing documentation is provided to Accounting as required
- Maintain accurate shipping records, including returns, dunnage, and returnable pallets
- Act as a clerical liaison between Sales and Shipping to support order accuracy and execution
- Maintain and distribute a weekly delivery schedule to the Plant Manager, Supervisors, and Crew Leads
- Coordinate with Purchasing to schedule incoming deliveries and obtain required paperwork
- Receive goods, verify counts and condition against supplier documentation, and report discrepancies per company policy
- Assist with live goods receiving and notify the Growing team when materials are ready for inspection
- Support damage claims related to in-transit issues
- Ensure timely and accurate printing of tags and labels for liner and finished production
- Coordinate with Purchasing to maintain appropriate tag and label inventory levels
- Follow established SOPs for tag and label printing and escalation of errors
- Ensure adherence to established SOPs and shipping procedures
- Report shipping errors, waste, or printing issues promptly to the Shipping Supervisor
- Participate in daily operations and planning meetings as needed
- Collect, organize, and maintain daily shipping and operations paperwork
- Coordinate with IT support for basic system or printing issues
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of shipping and operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage paperwork, data entry, and system transactions consistently
- Basic understanding of shipping, dock, and warehouse processes
- Ability to accurately count, verify, and document materials and shipments
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory/shipping systems
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, clerical, or warehouse operations preferred
- Manufacturing or production environment experience a plus
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including heat, humidity, and exposure to typical greenhouse environments (smells, noise, allergens).
