Plastics Mold Repair and Preventative Maintenance
The Plastek Group is a custom injection molder of plastic products with multiple locations in the US and internationally is seeking Tool Makers and Machinists for its facilities located in Erie Pennsylvania. Openings made available due to expansion in the Company’s Tool Repair department. 2nd and 3rd shift personnel needed ( shift differential offered), experience in some or all of the following areas; Plastic Injection Mold repair. Knowledge of hot runner repairs both hot tip and valve gates.
Candidates will be responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of the molds. Removal of slides, strippers, stripper plates and taking apart for maintenance and/or repair. Clean and assemble grease area as needed. Able to identify or detect problems in weak areas of tools. Should have basic machine shop experience at a minimum.
