Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise nursing staff to ensure quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in complex patient cases
- Monitor and evaluate nursing performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Manage staffing schedules and assignments to maintain adequate coverage
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans
Skills:
- Proficient in using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong leadership and management skills in a nursing setting
- Knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare regulations
- Experience with medical documentation and charting
- Familiarity with case management principles and practices
- Understanding of occupational health and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical examinations and basic life support procedures
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes
