What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Bartender position at The Point in Towson?
Join our dynamic team at The Point Restaurant Group! We are on the lookout for experienced & enthusiastics bartenders to join us. We specialize in craft cocktails, brunch cocktails, local beers, and amazing food dishes. We offer 3 bars including an outdoor patio, main bar with live music & TVs for sports and a craft cocktail bar.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food orders
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and drink preparation techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for guests
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order taking and drink preparation
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations calmly
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating bills
