The Ponce Therapy Care Center located in historic St. Augustine, Florida is now hiring for the role of an Admissions Coordinator. The applicant will be passionate, dependable, and energetic to fulfill the role of the Admissions Coordinator. The position will coordinate and facilitate referrals for potential admissions. The Admissions Coordinator will act as a liaison to the nursing department to ensure a smooth transition with the admissions process for all residents Further, the position will act as a liaison with family members as well as the residents of the facility.
Knowledgeable in Medicare requirements and insurance providers i.e., HMO rules, Medicare rules, RUGS II & III, and Medicare prescription plans.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the public.
Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing admission practices.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must be able to evaluate the performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel.
Be knowledgeable in the use of computers (Excel, Word, and Access), data input, retrieval, and output functions, etc.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as must be willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two (2) years prior admissions experience in health care facilities preferred.
