What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Bellman position at The Ranch at Rock Creek?
Primary Purpose of Position
The function of the Driver/Bellman is to work closely with The Front Desk Staff, Management and other Ranch departments in providing guest assistance with luggage, transportation and miscellaneous needs. Often the first and last person a guest sees while staying at The Ranch. The care attention that goes with this position is crucial to the success of The Ranch as they convey a critical message to the guests about the property’s commitment to service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greeting guests with 5 star attitude (Smile and utilize the 5/10 Rule.)
- Actively greeting guests as they enter and leave the main lodge.
- Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance using their name.
- Problem resolution in a timely fashion and to guest satisfaction.
- Conduction of property and room orientations with guests upon arrival.
- Safe operation of company vehicles.
- Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner.
- Be aware of local area attractions and restaurants and make recommendations to guests.
- Be aware of all property happenings and recommend to guests as needed.
- Being well groomed at all times to the standards of The Ranch at Rock Creek.
- Maintain vehicles in guest ready condition.
- Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day to day operations.
- Other duties as required.
Education/Experience
- Clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Undergraduate Degree – Preferred.
- Customer Service experience.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Special Skills/Equipment
- Ability to maintain The Ranch at Rock Creek standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate in English with guests/employees to their understanding.
- Ability to provide legible written communication and directions.
- Ability to adhere to responsible, safe and conscientious driving rules.
- Ability to understand guest inquiries and provide responses.
- Ability to use radio/pager and respond in a timely manner.
- Ability to focus on guests' needs.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
- Ability to maintain concentration and think clearly under all driving conditions.
- Ability to ensure security of vehicles and The Ranch property.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Ranch data.
- Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to regularly lift and or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
