What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addictions Counselor position at The Ranch?
The Ranch is looking for a full-time, certified addictions counselor to join our clinical team. The Ranch is a men’s low-intensity residential substance use disorder treatment program (ASAM 3.1) that also offers ASAM 1.0 outpatient services. This position is for an addictions counselor in our clinical program serving our residents. The addictions counselor is responsible for completing intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating individual, family, and group therapy, and coordinating discharge planning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to complete all assigned tasks and clinical documentation requirements in a timely manner as specified by the program.
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders in line with DSM-V, ICD, and ASAM, therapeutic intervention techniques, and substance abuse treatment modalities (group and individual).
Participation in Treatment Team and other committees as needed.
Must already possess active credentials in good standing as an addictions counselor as approved by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors (BOPC) or Board of Social Work Examiners (BSWE). Credentials will be verified, prior to interview being offered. Master's level clinicians will be considered on a case-by-case basis with adjustment in annual salary commensurate with licensure and experience.
