What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Services Specialist position at The Remedy?
The Clinical Services Specialist will be the first to greet patients, check them in, and coordinate any pre-appointment paperwork that needs to be completed in the clinic. The Clinical Services Specialists are the face of The Remedy, the first person that patients see when they come in!
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm
Tuesday - 10:30am - 7:00pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Welcomes patients and visitors to the office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
- Schedules appointments when needed to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of examining and treatment rooms.
- Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary. Telephones taxis or family members when necessary for transportation.
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Participates in the medical office emergency routine when required. Calls for ambulance or EMS as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and address all patients in a respectful and professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of a certified medical office training course preferred.
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
