What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Recovery Coach position at The Right Door for Hope, Recovery and Wellness?
The Right Door is seeking a full-time Peer Recovery Coach to work with inmates in the Ionia County Jail providing specialized group facilitation, Pre-out date individual services to assist with strengthening the community supports available to inmates (with a history of Substance Use Disorder) upon discharge and Post-out date individual services to aid in successful community transition.
This individual must be 18 years or older who is in recovery from substance abuse for at least 2 years. The Peer Recovery Coach will use their life experience to assist the individual with engaging in services and supports and promote wellness and recovery.
Candidate must meet criteria to secure Recovery Coach Certification, including, being in recovery from substance abuse for at least 2 years; and meet the MDHHS application approval process for specialized training and certification requirements. Salary starting at $19.52 per hour based on experience.
