The Ruhlin Company is seeking to hire experienced Surveyors for Northeast Ohio and Columbus, Ohio.
Position Summary: Provide surveying service to ensure construction work complies with design drawings.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by crafts, i.e., forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, wall lines, footers, utilities, beams, dirt work, etc.
- Complete assigned projects on time with accurate survey results.
- Achieve safety goals.
- Provide checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
- Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
- Provide quantity calculations as required.
- Document surveying activities, plan changes and modifications.
- Maintain surveying equipment in good working condition.
- Supervise surveying technicians and trainees.
- Coordinate surveying activities with the assigned superintendent to meet the construction requirements.
- Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values, and goals.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor s direction.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years survey experience, construction survey experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of GPS equipment, robotic total stations, and willingness to learn new types of surveying equipment.
- CAD experience a plus.
- Ability to accurately read construction drawings and make calculations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
