Exciting Opportunity: HR Coordinator - Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC)
We're seeking a dedicated HR professional to support and enhance our human resources initiatives at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. This role offers a unique blend of HR coordination and impactful community service.
Job Objective: Responsible for supporting Human Resources management of the Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC), as well as assisting in the implementation and coordination of employee training programs.
What You'll Do:
- Support our organizational culture through effective HR coordination
- Assist in implementing training programs to empower our team
- Ensure compliance and best practices in HR functions
- Support employee engagement and retention strategies
- Collaborate with leadership to further our mission
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ARC files (medical, personnel, terminated, applicant, drivers) in compliance with policies and legal requirements
- Perform ADP data entry for employee records, demographic changes, and benefit enrollments
- Coordinate with Command HR Department for Finance Board approvals on personnel changes
- Assist in investigating and maintaining records for incident reports, injuries, and OSHA reporting
- Participate in Safety Committee meetings and support safety programs
- Coordinate employee benefits and assist with registrations and claims
- Support management in personnel matters including recruitment and employee orientation
- Maintain accurate payroll records using HRIS and coordinate timesheet submission
- Assist in implementing HR training for staff development
- Support the administration of the Safe From Harm program

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in HR, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of HR or Business Management experience
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
- Office management experience preferred
- Knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations a plus
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Experience with ADP timekeeping software preferred
- Ability to interpret and apply complex instructions and regulations
- Mathematical skills for practical business applications
