Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, may vary depending on need, will need to serve on-call for emergencies
AHT Scope & Purpose: Responsible for oversight of various Social Services Programs of the Southern New England Division and fsupervision of social service personnel. Provide direct case management.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of The Salvation Army.
- Contribute to fundraising strategic plan development and implementation to ensure full support of long-term program sustainment and needs-based growth/evolution.
- Develop and implement consistent internal communications plan (including processes and information sharing) to all to all stakeholders which fully promote and nurture a culture of POH & AHT program understanding.
- Ensure sustained, optimized quality of POH & AHT strategic planning and implementation by fully leading/supporting all facets of strategic planning and program sustainment/expansion based on evolving community needs.
- Monitor program delivery to ensure quality services.
- Certify quality of local data and reporting of information that will support national and territorial program outcomes.
- Attend interagency meetings and participate in local networks as appropriate with local staff. Attend local, state, and national conferences as required.
- Serve on committees impacting POH and AHT program facets.
- Assist with special events and seasonal programs as requested.
- Provide ongoing supervision and administrative oversight in the implementation of POH and AHT programs.
- Build, maintain, and conduct a comprehensive program training plan for all staff, leadership, and external activities which supports long-term program sustainment and needs-based growth/evolution.
- Recruit, train, and supervise interns and volunteers, as requested.
- Provide direct case consultation and technical assistance to case managers.
- Provide guidance and promote spiritual dimension of The Salvation Army social services programs, emphasizing importance of Christian influence and evangelism in all Salvation Army ministries.
- Collaborate with Department of Children and Families, local law enforcement, and other anti-human trafficking service agencies to develop a care and follow-up plan for victims of trafficking.
- Coordinate 24 hour on-call coverage for anti-human trafficking programs. Provide on-call coverage, as needed.
- Develop and implement victim services programs to meet the needs of trafficked persons, including outreach, emergency response, case management, and drop-in center.
- Organize at least one human trafficking public awareness event per year.
- Provide direct case management to AHT survivors.
- Research and implement best practices to maximize program effectiveness.
- Serve as primary representative on statewide anti-trafficking commissions and committees.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate regular meetings.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of all data entry into program of record and maintain database consolidation of all program data.
- Complete quarterly random record reviews and annual reviews of compliance with standards in order to assure for program evaluation/certification requirements.
Qualifications
- An understanding and passion for the mission of The Salvation Army.
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services, or related field required. MSW preferred.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in comparable social service programs that offer multi-faceted interventions designed to address the needs of families utilizing strengths-based approach.
- Ability to collaborate on complex social issues within families and communities.
- Demonstrated capacity to teach adults; must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and/or strong interest in community outreach, organization, and community capacity development.
- Experience working with victims of human trafficking required. Experience working with victims of other traumatic crimes such as domestic violence or sexual assault preferred.
- Grant writing experience highly preferred.
- Minimum of two years of case management experience required.
- Must have an interest and ability to work with people and clients of diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds in a sensitive and culturally appropriate manner.
- Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s license required. Must obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance company.
