Store Clerk & Warehouse Worker

Location: Roanoke, Virginia Position Type: Part Time      Pay Range:$12.00 About this opportunity: Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customers questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register. Assists in maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse area. Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. The Warehouse Worker will assist with loading, unloading, and sorting donations; moving donations and other materials into the warehouse; assist in the set-up, clean up and break down of the warehouse. He/she may also act in the capacity of a Truck Helper as needed. Daily loading and unloading and placement of donated items into the warehouse.   What we are looking for in you: High School diploma or G.E.D.; And Experience working in a retail store/warehouse preferred; Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (over 50lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.   Working Conditions Work is performed in a stock room, warehouse or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in weather. There are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors and the like. Why work for us?
