Summer Camp Security

Location:            Camp Grandview, Jasper Georgia Position:             Summer Camp Security Specialist Position Type:   Overnight Residential - Temporary Full-Time Pay Rate:            325.00 weekly. About this opportunity: Monitors and ensures the safety and well-being of camp facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of camp staff and children.    Key responsibilities: Ensures buildings are unlocked in the morning for camp activities.    Ensures all staff and campers are in their quarters by curfew and remain in their personal living quarters throughout the night.   Secures and locks all buildings after curfew.   Monitors camp facilities throughout the night.   Maintains the security of all sleeping areas and buildings by conducting security checks throughout the night.   Keeps security log of all incidents. Log to be turned into Camp Director each morning and bring to the Camp Directors attention of any incidents that need immediate attention.   Serves as a transport person for emergency trips.   Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean and ready for inspection. Performs other duties as assigned. What we are looking for in you: Six months experience teaching child development or youth programs in a church preferred, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Licenses and Certifications CPR and First Aid Certification Valid and Current Driver’s License   Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Some physical requirements of the Camp Counselor position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities are required.  Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available.  Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.    Why work for us? The 2025 summer Camp program session will be held June 16 - July 19, 2025.
